Chaired by the Deputy Secretary of Defense, it is the highest authority providing top level governance to coordinate defense business system modernization and to link improvements in business capabilities to the Warfighter. The DBSMC comprises the Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Under Secretaries, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), the Service Secretaries, the Combatant Commanders of U.S. TRANSCOM and Joint Forces Command, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration/DoD Chief Information Officer (NII/CIO), and the Director of Program Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E) in an advisory role. |
