Description: This covers both Program Acquisition Unit Cost and Procurement Unit Cost information for use as a metric that is related to the cost associated with a single unit of the product to include direct costs, indirect costs, traced costs and allocated costs. Program Acquisition Unit Cost with respect to a major defense acquisition program, means the amount equal to the total cost for development and procurement of, and system specific military construction for, the acquisition program, divided by the number of fully-configured end items to be produced for the acquisition program. Procurement Unit Cost, with respect to a major defense acquisition program, means the amount equal to the total of all funds programmed to be available for obligation for procurement for the program, divided by the number of fully-configured end items to be procured.
