This includes a notification to the Member that he or she has been identified as involuntary retirement eligible and has been given the option to voluntarily retire. These reasons may include (but not be limited to) being passed over twice for promotion, medical (e.g., temporary/permanent disability), and years of service and age. If the Member does not choose to voluntarily retire, he or she will be involuntarily separated. |
