This code identifies Counties and equivalent administrative entities of the US, its possessions, and associated areas as defined within Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) or the county equivalent for countries not covered in the FIPS. A county code is only unique if it is combined with a state code in the areas listed in the FIPS or with the country code for areas not in the FIPS. |
