Description
Member Promotion Selection Board Name is the title that identifies the specific promotion selection board in which a DoD Military Service member has received promotion consideration.

Usage
Member Promotion Selection Board Name is used to document the specific promotion selection board in which a DOD Military Service member has received promotion consideration.

Member Promotion Selection Board Name may be used to identify promotion selection information for both officer and enlisted promotion boards.

The Member Promotion Selection Board Name should include information that would identify whether the promotion selection board was for the Active Duty List or Reserve Active Status List and the pay grade in which the board considered the DoD Military Service member for promotion.

Commissioned Officer Promotion Report (COPR) [is an] annual report submitted by the Secretaries of the Military Departments to provide information to the Secretary of Defense about the commissioned officer promotion program (DoDI 1320.13 Para. 3a). The COPR provides a statistical summary of [DoD Military] Service promotion opportunity and timing compared to DoD guidelines to include race, and ethnic promotion rates; and use of posthumous commission authority.
