Description
Foreign Language Proficiency Source is self-declared and is the manner in which a person may have acquired his or her skill with a particular foreign language.

Usage
Foreign Language Proficiency Source is used in conjunction with Foreign Language, Foreign Language Proficiency Test Date, Foreign Language Proficiency Type, and Foreign Language Proficiency Level to Record a person's language skills and level of proficiency within a specific language (read, write, listen, etc).

Foreign Language Proficiency Source denotes the manner in which a person acquired a particular foreign language skill, and may be of interest in making assignments where knowledge of local idiosyncrasies of language and culture are important or exceptional fluency over and above that acquired in an academic setting is required.
