The Secretary concerned must consider an enlisted member eligible for Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP) through the ninetieth day of Temporary Duty (TDY) or Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) if each of the following is true:
- The member is eligible for Basic Pay.
- The member is on Active Duty.
- The member is serving in pay grade E-3 or higher.
- The member has completed the special schooling or equivalent on-the-job-training required for qualification in the special duty assignment.
- The member is certified by the Secretary concerned as qualified for and serving in an authorized position in a duty assignment designated for award of special duty assignment pay.
- The member is on TDY or TAD.
- The member is not performing duties requiring use of skills on which the member's SDAP is based. |
