The Secretary concerned must consider an Army or Air Force Reserve officer in the pay grade of O-2 through O-5 on the Reserve Active Status List eligible for consideration for promotion by a vacancy promotion board if each of the following is true:
- The officer is occupying or has been recommended to occupy a position in the same competitive category at a higher pay grade than the one currently held by the officer.
- The officer is fully qualified to meet all requirements for the position as established by the Secretary.
- The officer has held the current pay grade for the minimum period of service prescribed for eligibility for consideration for promotion. |
