The Secretary concerned must consider a member eligible for Medical Officer Incentive Special Pay, if each of the following is true:
- The member is an officer of the Medical Corps of the Army or Navy, or an officer of the Air Force designated as a medical officer.
- The member is below the grade of O-7.
- The member has a current, valid, unrestricted medical license or approved waiver.
- The member was recalled to Active Duty for a period of more than thirty days from one of the following statuses:
- Retirement from the Regular Army, Regular Navy, Regular Air Force, or Regular Marine Corps
- Retired Reserve
- Fleet Reserve
- Fleet Marine Corps Reserve
- The member's entitlement to Medical Officer Special Pay has not been terminated.
- The member is not in any of the following statuses:
- Absent from duty for more than twenty-four consecutive hours as a result of a disease caused by and immediately following intemperate use of alcoholic liquors or habit forming drugs
- Absent Without Leave in excess of twenty-four hours, unless the absence is excused as unavoidable
- Desertion
- Excess Leave
- Civil Confinement - In Hands of Civil Authority
- Military Confinement - Constructively Absent
- Educational Leave of Absence |
