The Service concerned must grant excess leave for a member who is being involuntarily separated when each of the following is true:
- The member requests excess leave for a period of thirty days or less.
- The member's service will be characterized as Honorable or Under Honorable Conditions.
- The member's absence would not impede mission requirements. |
