Disability Severance Pay grade or rank must be determined by using the following guidelines:
- The member's grade or rank in which the member served at separation must be used to compute the disability severance pay.
- The member's permanent Reserve grade held at separation must be used to compute the disability severance pay.
- The member's highest temporary or permanent grade or rank must be used to compute disability severance pay in which the member served satisfactorily as determined by the Secretary concerned.
- When a member is selected for promotion and the disability is found during a physical examination, the disability severance pay must be computed using the grade or rank to which the member would have been promoted if there were no disability. |
