The numeric value, in unit of measure, set as the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) concentration of the substance in drinking water as a National Primary Drinking Water Standard under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Established by regulations under the SDWA that are contained in 40 CFR 141 (Primary) and 143 (Secondary). Examples: "0.1" milligrams per liter is the MCL for Styrene. |
