Operational Resource Flow Description
List of Operational Resource Flow Models
Name Description
All The OV-02 All Operational Node Connectivity Diagram represents the required information exchanges among all Core Business Mission areas (CBMs) that comprise the DoD Business Mission Area (BMA) and between these Operational Nodes and the Enterprise, Multi Core Business Mission, and External Operational Nodes. The External Node represents a collection of organizations outside of DoD, to include other Government Agencies, doing business with the Department of Defense. Assigned to each Operational Node are the activities performed in support of the function represented by the Node. The diagram was developed by combining all OV-02 diagrams into a single, integrated representation of the total required information flow of the BMA, as defined by the current Core Business Mission areas (CBMs).
Enterprise The Enterprise Operational Node Connectivity Diagram represents the need to exchange enterprise information with external and internal stakeholders. The information generated by these activities provides the capability to perform services in support of operations across the Department of Defense Business Mission Area. The Enterprise Operational node exchanges information with the internal nodes Financial Management and Multi Core Business Mission, plus the External node which represents a collection of organizations outside of DoD, to include other Government Agencies, doing business with the Department of Defense.
External A collection of organizations outside of DoD doing business with the Department of Defense.
Financial Management The Financial Management Operational Node Connectivity Diagram represents the need to exchange FM information with external and internal stakeholders. The information is used to enable the capability to provide accurate and reliable financial information in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process to ensure adequate financial resources for warfighter mission requirements. The Financial Management operational node exchanges information with the internal nodes Human Resources Management, Weapon System Lifecycle Management, Real Property and Installations Lifecycle Management, Materiel Supply and Service Management, Enterprise, and Multi Core Business Mission, plus the External node which represents a collection of organizations outside of DoD, to include other Government Agencies, doing business with the Department of Defense.
Financial Management Detail The Financial Management Detail diagram is a representation of the subnodes within the FM node and their need to exchange information with other internal and external nodes. The sub-nodes represented are Accounting Office, Commercial Entitlement Office, Planning and Policy Office, Program and Budget Office, Reporting Office, Treasury Operations Office. The information is used to enable the capability to provide accurate and reliable financial information in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process to ensure adequate financial resources for warfighter mission requirements.
