Upon completion of the matching process the transaction is authorized for payment. When the purchase card is used to purchase goods or services, this process includes the reconciliation of the financial institutions transactions against the purchase log and other artifacts as required resulting in approved transactions. After the transactions are approved, the monthly statement/invoice is then matched to the approve transactions and other artifacts as required. Upon approved completion, the monthly statement is authorized for payment.
